SSC CGL Eligibility
SSC CGL eligibility includes various parameters that candidates need to satisfy in order to see their names in the final selection list, like age limit, educational qualification, physical standards, etc. Check out the eligibility requirement that the candidates must fulfil:
Nationality:
A candidate must be a resident of Indian territory with valid ID proof, a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, a Tibetan refugee who moved to India before 1962 intending to settle down permanently in India, or a citizen of Indian origin who has moved from Pakistan, Burma, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Zambia, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam intending to settle down permanently in India.
Age Limit:
The SSC has raised the age restriction for SSC CGL 2022 recruitment, albeit the age varies per post. The lowest age limit is 18 years old, while the highest age limit is 32 years old. This age restriction criterion varies post to post and for different types of persons, as shown in the following section. Candidates might also look into the age relaxations that are provided for certain groups of individuals.

SSC CGL Syllabus
Those who wish to appear for the SSC Combined Graduate Level exam must have a thorough knowledge of the complete SSC CGL Syllabus in order to crack it. Having all the information about your exam pattern and syllabus is essential. To help you out, we have listed below the SSC CGL syllabus for Tiers 1 & 2 below.
Four sections- Logical reasoning, English, general awareness, and quantitative aptitude are asked in Tier 1. Tier 2 also has four sections, including statistics, English, quantitative aptitude and general studies, from which quantitative aptitude and English are standard sections for all posts. The SSC CGL syllabus of both Tier 1 and Tier 2 differ from each other.
Tier 1 exam consists of 60 minutes containing 25 questions each from quantitative aptitude, English, reasoning and general awareness. Each right answer will fetch you +2 marks, and each wrong answer will deduct 0.50 marks from your total score.
The SSC CGL Tier 2 exam consists of four papers, of which Paper 1 and Paper 2 are required readings for everyone who passed the Tier 1 test. Only applicants who applied for the relevant jobs can take Papers 3 and 4.
